Diary

Bae of the day

Yesterday, I bought a new monitor for myself. I had been using 2 x 24 inch monitors so far, but now I'm on a new level with a new 30 inch monitor!

(Do I get fired for taking a work picture? I've made sure that the resolution is bad enough so that it doesn't reveal any proprietary information. Don't sue me)

Some people might say I'm so extra (which I am) and any expenditure on work-related stuff is not justifiable, but I disagree.

With this purchase, my life will become so much easier and more comfortable which is totally worth the money. Yeah, I could have lived with 2 x 24 set up, but I was getting tired of rotating my neck like a chicken. How long this extra $250 expenditure would pay off remains mysterious but I feel like this monitor will serve me dutifully for 5 years de minimus lol (Why do people throw in some Latin phrase instead of using plain English - in this case at least - remains mysterious to me other than a potentially insightful explanation that it's just cool to do so).

Also, I'd like to draw your attention to the clock underneath the monitor which is again, very extra (I have my phone and computer clock), but I incidentally stumbled upon this clock and had to buy it instantly. And if by any chance you are reading this, make sure to grab the same thing from Amazon. It's only $25 and I've gotten so many comments already about this lol.

Finally, the starbucks tumblr is also worth the money. I see myself drinking a lot more water than before when I only had a plastic bottle. I'm very easily influenced by my surroundings, and it's great to see how these changes steer my behaviors in a certain way.

This reminds me that humans, again and again, are just simple living things after all.
